Attached is a list of medical illnesses,which would render a prospective candidates UNFIT
for Employment At Sea in accordance with our medical requirement.
.1 ) Any condition that will make a person unfit for shore based employment in the same posotion :
( This includes a wide range of conditions,for example,back problems in a Storeman,foot problems or
symptomatic varicose veins in a waitress ).
.2 ) Epilepsy.
.3 ) Any history of Ischaemic Heart Disease
.4 ) Organic disease of the heart or major blood vessels
.5 ) Uncontrolled or poorly controlled Hypertension ( > 160 / 100 )
.6 ) Peptic Ulcer
.7 ) Diabetes requiring any treatment other than diet control
.8 ) Pregnancy
.9 ) Physical Disabilities
10) Any Psychiatric Disorders / History of Psychiatric Disorders ( including Depression )
11) Any Malignancy
12) The following infective deseases :

~~~ HIV / AIDS
~~~ Typhoid in food handlers
~~~ Malaria
~~~ Tuberculosis / suspected Tuberculosis.
